M.Phil Computer Science

            The Master of Philosophy in Computer Science Program is aimed at developing scholars into mature researchers, able to make original scientific contributions that have both practical significance and a rigorous, elegant theoretical grounding. The M.Phil. program duration is one year with 2 semesters. The course work includes three Core Papers during the first semester.
 The Core papers are :

  • Research Methodology.
  • Advanced Paper in Computer Science.
  • Software Engineering.
  •      M. Phil scholars in Computer Science perform individual research in any of the areas given below under the direct supervision of an academic expert and submit a dissertation at the end of second semester.
  • Image Processing.
  • Data Mining.
  • Artificial Intelligence.
  • Data Mining.
  • Advanced Networks.
  • Embedded Systems.
  • Cloud Computing.
  • Mobile Computing.

Eligibility criteria

  • A candidate who is qualified for the masters degree in science /Arts/Humanities/Social science/Commerce under 10+2+3+2 pattern and approved by the UGC or AICTE or any other national regulatory body or any other qualification declared as its equivalent by the Board of Management (BOM) of the University as equivalent there to.
  • Notwithstanding the above qualifying examination the candidate might have passed, he/she shall write an entrance examination designed to test the proficiency or aptitude of the candidate on areas determined by the Board of Management (BOM). Admission to the M. Phil program by the university shall be on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and the performance of the perspective candidate in the entrance test.
  • The candidate shall satisfy the conditions regarding qualifying marks, number of attempts and mode of admission, age and physical fitness as prescribed by the BOM of the university.
